It is about post cards of Napoleon.
Collecting them during several years, buying sometimes, given as a present sometimes.
For the classification I have used the backsite of the card.
I hope you will enjoy it.

What an amazing collection. You must have spent a long time assembling the collection - not to mention the time scanning it! I haven't looked at them all yet - I think you have anough cards for about 40 blog entries!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat were Tuck cards?
I am intrigued as to when the cards were produced. One I saw was 1913. Also in which countries they were produced? Holland and France I guess largely. I wonder in other words when and where Napoleonic postcards were fashionable.
Thanks very much for making these available to us.
kind regards
John
Hello John,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThere are two kinds of Tuck Card, one is with German text on it, the other with English text.
Most of my cards are from Holland, France and Belgium.
I have collected them for a long time, but found not the good moment to catalogue them.
Now I have done that.
This morning I bought another one on the internet. (www.marktplaats.nl)

Thanks for the reply. It really is an excellent collection.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat dates were most of yout postcards produced? C19, early C20 or whenever? Maybe seems a daft question, but was trying to figure out when they were fashionable.
cheers
John
